Greek Life Challenge FAQ

Why is The Greek Life Challenge different than any other fundraising competition?

This fall marks Radford University’s fifth annual Greek Life Challenge. Our 24 Greek letter organizations are competing to see which can garner the most donors to support the overall fraternity/sorority experience. Last year, 150 donors contributed more than $11,000!

Who can participate in Greek Life Challenge?

Anyone can support Radford University during the Greek Life Challenge by making a gift ($5 minimum). Alumni, parents, friends, students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff are encouraged to participate. We need your support!

What types of gifts are accepted during the Greek Life Challenge?

Check and credit card gifts will be counted. This includes gifts made via mail, phone or online on our crowdfunding platform.

Can I make a pledge?

No, pledges will not be counted during the Greek Life Challenge, only actual gifts received.

Where should I designate my gift in order to count during Greek Life Challenge?

A gift to any of the funds listed on the Greek Life Challenge website will count towards the competition.

Can I give anonymously?

Yes!  If you would prefer that your name does not show on our “Campaign Heroes” wall, please select “Anonymous” when making your gift.

What other ways can I help my organization win?

In addition to supporting financially, another great way to support your favorite organization is by telling your friends and family about them or sharing its page across your social networks.

Is my payment secure?

Yes! As is the case every day, all payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected during the Greek Life Challenge will be used only by Radford University.

Will my gift be tax-deductible?

Your gift is tax-deductible as allowed by law. Please consult your tax professional for information regarding the tax-deductible nature of your gift.

What if I’ve already made my gift for this fiscal year (I donated after July 1, 2018)?

Thank you for your loyal support! You can help your favorite organization win the Greek Life Challenge competition by making an additional nominal gift ($5 minimum) on your favorite organization’s page!
